As a UX Design Intern in the Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) Program, I introduced the practice of digital prototyping as a means for increased efficiency as my team researched the usability of the AI video editing tool developed within the lab to assist research development.

The FIND program is an effort by developmental psychologists within the Phil Fisher Lab at Stanford University that utilizes an intervention-style of research to promote naturally-occurring supportive interactions between caregivers and children. This is typically achieved by recording 60-70 minute interactions, condensing the video to highlight specific developmental techniques displayed during the session, and coaching the caregiver with this video before the next recorded session.

My team, originally tasked with annotating the moments in the session video where the supportive interactions occurred, became the design research team for a faster, FIND-specific video editing tool after the lab decided to utilize an AI-generated annotation system.
